We are seeking professional pilots with a strong passion for teaching and the ability to deliver training in flight, simulator, and ground school environments. Instructors must demonstrate both technical excellence and key professional competencies aligned with the standards expected by international airlines.
Minimum Qualifications
– Current CFI and CFII (MEI is a plus)
– Minimum 250 hours as CFI (or 100 hours for graduates of 4-year university programs)
– Multi-Engine Land rating
– FAA license is a plus
– ICAO English Level 5 or higher
– Valid First Class Medical Certificate
Instructor Competency Profile
– Strong instructional skills across flight, ground, and simulator settings
– Solid theoretical knowledge in aviation topics
– Clear communication and positive interpersonal skills
– Comfortable using whiteboard and analog teaching tools
– Organized, adaptable, and capable of working in a structured training environment
Competency-Based Selection Model
At ALAS, we use a competency-based training and evaluation model, meaning we assess more than just technical and theoretical knowledge. We also evaluate the professional competencies expected from instructors and airline pilots, including leadership, communication, decision-making, and situational awareness.
